As we slowly slide into the time of year that promises cooler temps, fall colors, holidays, and gatherings, our H.O.G. Social Committee has some fun and productive activities planned for us.
Our annual Bonfire and Food Drive ushers out summer with yummy hotdogs, goodies and neighborly camaraderie, while at the same time giving all of us an opportunity to do some ‘good works’ by donating food for our annual SHIM collection (SHIM = South Hills Interfaith Movement). Check out the flyer for SHIM's "most needed items." This event is being held on Friday, September 12 at 6PM at the Gazebo area. Bring a chair! And for sure, put this date on your calendar. All are welcome. Click here for the downloadable flyer.
Next up (are you writing this down in your calendar?) is our annual Community Clean Up event. This event is so satisfying! We gather at the entrance parking lot on Clubview to pick up our bags, pick-up sticks and pick-up partners to head up Alpine on a clean up mission. Why people dump their litter along roads is anyone’s guess. But we make it our business to clean up after them (grrrr) and make our community a little more aesthetically pleasing. We will gather at the entrance parking lot at 9AM on Saturday, September 20. All volunteer homeowners, residents, and family members are welcome! Click here for the downloadable flyer.
Finally, it's back to school time and our neighborhood kids really need your help. Please observe the 15mph speed limit on Clubview Drive for the safety of our community's children, dog walkers, dogs, exercising adults, etc. Just slow down, y'all.
